Moonstone is often called the visionary's stone. It helps us see things more clearly. Romans believed that the stone was formed from the light of the moon. Moonstone is considered a sacred stone in India. It is believed to bring good fortune, enhance passion, balance the yin and yang, and is said to protect women and children. In early times, it was believed that one could see the future if the stone was held in the mouth during a full moon. Moonstone is the birthstone for Cancer as well as Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Aquarius and Pisces.

Silver is closely linked to the moon and is a metal of clear light, the psychic mind, loving and healing, wisdom, self-control and reflection. It is said to have calming and cleansing properties while amplifying the energy of any gemstone it comes in contact with. It also symbolizes wealth and prosperity.
